Common Cents Thrift Shop of Oxford NY

Mission:
The Common Cents Thrift Shop is not-for-profit. Proceeds from sales and donations benefit the Oxford Food Pantry (OFP). The OFP, serves the Oxford community, and is available through local church referrals.

People from all communities are welcome in the Common Cents Thrift Shop and the sharing of prudent ideas is encouraged. A bulletin board is available for helpful services, thrifty tips are in the guest book, and an economical coupon exchange box is on the counter. You can also add your email address in the guest book for a periodic newsletter or do so here online. The Common Cents Thrift Shop carries gently used items. Offerings will vary depending on donations.

What will you find there?

• Clothing: You will find clothing for adults and children such as dress pants, jeans, shorts (in season), shirts, light coats, heavy coats (in season), bras, socks, jackets, vests, sweaters, dresses, skirts, sleepwear, hats, gloves, purses, shoes, slippers, boots, etc. Clothing stock is rotated according to the seasons.
• Housewares: lamps, dishes, storage containers, bread baskets, platters, mugs, vases, canisters, small appliances, bed spreads, sheets, comforters, figurines, collectibles, picture frames, clocks, small flower pots, hand soaps, movies, etc.
• Printed matter: greeting cards, magazines, books, etc.
• Children’s Area: stuffed animals, board games, story books, Halloween costumes, etc.

Donations: If you would like to make a clothing/merchandise donation for the shop to sell, please make deliveries at 6 Liberty Street in Oxford. (Please do not make drop-offs at the shop.) Directions: Take State Street/220 (between the Oxford P.O. and Dollar General) and go west about a quarter mile. Liberty Street is the third street on the left. #6 is down on the right.
Monetary donations can be made at the store or checks can be mailed to: Oxford Food Pantry, United Church of Oxford, Fort Hill Park, Oxford, NY 13830.
