Thanksgiving Dinner Take-Outs only 2022: The Church Women United (CWU) of Oxford and St. Paul's Church are sponsoring a Thanksgiving Dinner, on Thanksgiving Day, from noon to 1 PM, at St. Paul's Episcopal Church Parish House at 32 Main Street, Oxford, NY. This event invites all persons, from the communities of Oxford and McDonough, in need of fellowship on this family day of giving thanks.
Free will donations are accepted at the NBT Bank in Oxford.
Volunteers are always needed.

Community Mitten Tree: Each year, from the first Saturday in November until the first Friday in December, a pine tree is set up in the banquet hall of Hoppie's Restaurant, located at 2 LaFayette Park (at the corner of Route 12), Oxford, NY. With generosity by the community, it gets filled with colorful knit mittens, hats, and slippers. (For safety reasons, scarves are not accepted.) New toys and books are sometimes donated too, and placed under the tree. The CWU collects these ‘gifts from the heart’ and uses them to fill the annual Community Christmas Baskets. If there are any extras, they're donated to the Oxford Primary School and to Oxford Head Start to keep little heads, hands, and feet warm.
